CAMEO Quilters Guild
...Come And Meet Each Other...

About the Guild

History & Description

Cameo Quilters Guild was established in the summer of 1994.  Janet Johnson was approached by quilters who wanted to form a guild.  These quilters knew Janet had formed two quilt guilds in the area, Oakland County Quilt and Great Lakes Heritage Quilt Guild. Thus, she was the logical person for the task.  Under her guidance on structure and procedures, the first meeting of CAMEO Quilters Guild was held in September 1994.

The guild was named by Jenny Dukes, who suggested CAMEO, or
                   Come And Meet Each Other

Our newsletter was named ‘The Silhouette’ by Amy  Lobsinger.

Our logo, the cameo was designed by Johnnene  Maddison.
